Adams Speech

I can't believe we have been married two months all ready. It has flown by but means we are another month closer to receiving back our wedding video...I am so excited!

I couldn't not share Adams speech! I was so blown away by it all especially when he mentioned Brodie. I love that even though it was not traditional in any way he decided to do what he wanted and that included the most beautiful paragraph about our son. It completely threw me as I just wasn't expecting it at all!

'One quick mention I would like to make would be to my best friend and son Brodie. I know its probably not traditional and he wont understand what I'm saying but if he ever gets bored enough to watch our wedding video, hopefully he will get to hear how much he means to me. Brodie really is my shining star. I have never felt love like it until I first held him in the hospital. Everyday he provides me with the most immense happiness and for that I will be eternally grateful. I cannot wait to teach you all you need to learn in life and to watch you grow into a man. I will love you forever and I make you a promise that whatever or whenever I will be there for you.'

Our Wedding Photographer

Choosing a photographer for your wedding can be really stressful especially if you are like me and just love photos! Everyone has different tastes and photographers all take and edit photos In different ways.

However, when I stumbled across D.B Photography Sussex on Instagram I just loved all his work and needed to book in a meeting.

Our Wedding Vows

I have so many wedding posts to write and share but thought I would start off with our vows!

We decided to write our own wedding vows. The declarations you have to say are so formal and our wedding was really anything but formal!

Therefore, writing our own vows was a really important thing for me. Fortunately I managed to remember my vows of by heart as with the rush of leaving the house on time I left them behind! I was slightly panicking in the car on my way up but I had been repeating them over and over again all week and even now I can still recite them word for word.

It took me a while to write as I didn't want it to sound like a speech. I wanted it to be short, sweet and to get everything I wanted to say. I also really wanted to include my favourite love quote as it couldn't   describe our relationship any better!

Overall Im really happy with my vows and by Adams reaction, I think he must have been too!

' I Sarah, Join my life to yours on our wedding day. Not only as your wife but as your best friend and soulmate. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, be the shoulder you lean on, your rock on which you rest and your life long partner. I vow to love you unconditionally through all our adventures in life together & I cannot think of anyone i'd rather spend the rest of my life with. We have always said forever and always so may today be the start of our happy ever after, because i'd choose you, in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, i'd find you & i'd choose you. Our Weekend 2/7/16

With Adam working really long hours, five days a week and then often having to spend some time working the weekends, we had a very rare three day weekend together. No work, no work phone calls, no work emails just the three of us and oh my was it good fun!

The weather on Saturday turned out to be a little disappointing. We woke up to clear blue skies and decided to head off for a family dog walk through the fields of Penshurst and then spend the afternoon in the Lavender fields. However, Brodie had different ideas and had the biggest temper tantrum about 20 minutes in. He didn't want to be in his carrier, he didn't want to walk he just wanted to be in my arms. We then noticed the biggest black cloud heading our way so decided to head home. Luckily we got home just in time. The heavens opened and our plans of heading out to the Lavender fields soon got cancelled.

Saturday evening turned out to be beautiful! We couldn't resist going out for an evening stroll, through more beautiful fields before stopping off at our local pub for a cheeky glass of wine! There is nothing better than ending the day watching the sun go down with my two favourites!
