A letter to my one year old....

I can't believe I'm writing this. Are you really One year old all ready? Where has that last year gone? It has been the most tiring, rewarding happiest year of my life and nothing makes me prouder than being your MaMa.

I still remember the moment I first laid eyes on you. You were in your daddy's arms as mummy was struggling with the c-section pain. I couldn't wait to give you a kiss and I kept asking daddy what you looked like. He said beautiful. Oh was he right.

You had the scummiest little facial features, so perfect and beautiful. I can't believe I have been staring at your little face for over a year now. I have loved nothing more than watching you grow into such a happy little boy.

I still remember your first smiles, your first giggles and the first time you said 'MaMa'. I get so excited everytime you learn something new, and it seems now your learning new things everyday. You have gone from not crawling, to crawling and walking in less than 6 weeks. I was so proud of you walking down the aisle, straight into your daddy's arms. I thought you may get scared but you did it and oh how proud I was! You made our wedding day so special!

You are so affectionate, always willing to give us cuddles and kisses...even people who aren't your immediate family get blessed with your sloppy kisses. I love our naps together. MaMa doesn't always nap, she sometimes just admires your beautiful face but I love how you always expect to fall asleep on me. You should probably be having your daytime naps in your cot by now, but if your not ready to sleep without me I won't make you.

You are such a strong little boy, always wanting to climb and be on your feet. You very rarely sit down for more than 2 seconds and you sure know how to keep me on my toes. You are also very clumsy. Especially when you are tired. You walk into things, or fall flat onto your face. You definitely take after me & you Gramps when it comes to that!

Thatnk you for the happiest year of my life. For giving me a reason to wake up early and make the most of everyday, for making me laugh and smile and lastly..for teaching me what love really is. I hope the next year brings you lots of new adventures and I hope you continue to be happy and healthy.

May you always know how loved you are.

I love you Brodes to the moon and back.

Mumma x

Our Wedding - The details and finishing touches

This blog post is all about our wedding details! There was so much planning involved but it was all worth all the hard work. I thought it would be nice to share all our finishing touches and reminisce on all our hard work!

We got married at Swallows Oast in Ticehurst. I really, really cannot recommend the venue enough! The communication throughout all our planning was amazing, they went above and beyond to meet all our requirements and to our surprise, really reasonably priced. The venue itself is an old Oast and barn surrounded by beautiful fields. This makes the perfect place for outdoor photos, especially if you are lucky enough to have good weather.

Our Honeymoon - Mauritius 2016

We have recently returned from our honeymoon in Mauritius. We flew off two days after getting married and it was incredible! It was a last minute booking after Thomson cancelled our original honeymoon to the Caribbean but I think it turned out for the best!
